Spring had begun to entice the trees to awaken. Flowers delicately stretched their newest petals on the cherry trees that lined the drive to this South Farm wedding. The blossom perfectly echoed the lace on Kate’s bolero, finely weaving the beauty of the day together.
Mike & Kate had invited us to Bala for their engagement session, and over dinner we had got to know Mike’s unwavering love for cinema. Rather than the traditional speeches, he and his network devised a quite different approach – a ‘cinema’ set up in the old barn and a prerecorded reel of speeches and sketches. A total surprise to the guests, the ‘film’ was riotously funny and deeply touching – perhaps the prerecorded nature allowing more bravery. Utterly memorable, with tears of laughter and of joy all round.
We are very fond of Mike & Kate. They are a couple who fit as puzzle pieces, complementing in the best of ways, making each other stronger. As with their wedding rings that they handmade for each other, they will live life together, making each day for themselves. Thank you both for sharing your loves and lives with us.
