One is loved
because one is loved.
No reason is needed for loving.
– Paulo Coelho
We had explored the wild and beautiful Northumberland coast on their Bamburgh beach engagement shoot, and I had learnt a little of the connection and romance that Dan and Christine hold. I knew their South Farm wedding was going to be something very special, full of original details chosen with thought and meaning.
Dan & Christine had chosen to weave a countryside theme throughout their day, with grasses and grains in the bouquets and buttonholes, with favours of specially chosen whisky. Dan’s favourite colour, purple, played a key role from the exquisite stationary that Christine designed and printed, to the Hummingbird Bakery Cake, from an array of purple sweets to the ties the boys wore with woven knots, tied by hand. A striking cardboard castle was constructed for the children to play in, and a display of instant film cameras were laid out as an instant photo booth for the guests to enjoy.
A particular joy for me was to see how Dan & Christine had used the images we created on Bamburgh beach. They had printed them with accompanying beautiful quotes and used them for their table plan and sweet and camera table. It looked so beautiful and I adore to see images in print.
This was a magical day, with a sky painted with evening colours and a first dance with stunning lighting that created an enchanting atmosphere.
Dan & Christine, you are very special people, so clearly loved. We are grateful to have got to know you a little over the last year and we wish you every happiness.
