Castello Camemi, Vizzini, Sicily
Oh my, this was the wedding of dreams. The romantic remote Castello, on top of a hill, windswept in the hot May sunshine. The olive groves and pine trees, the exquisite detailing (Natalie is an extraordinarily talented calligrapher and designer) and the elegant flowers. I adored everything about this day (to see the details from the dress to the florist, scroll to the end fo the post).
Natalie and Ben gave me the honour of photographing their epic celebrations in Sicily, my first destination wedding, and one that would be hard to beat. It was superb. I’ll always remember the moments when Natalie was stood on tiptoes, peaking out of the wooden shutters of her balcony, to catch a glimpse of the guests gathering around the gardens below; the vows drifting on the wind from the hilltop vantage of their ceremony; the dinner by candlelight in the courtyard with the warm summer breeze; the epic party and dancing to match in the gardens in to the early hours.
Thank you both so much for choosing me to be a part of your day and for your friendship since. Happy anniversary!
