When I met Lesley and Toni for their Brockwell Park engagement shoot, I learnt that they are the sort of people who nurture their individuality, are curious about the differences between people and who care deeply about those they love. I was moved by who they are, and naturally I couldn’t wait for their Nonsuch Mansion wedding.
Lesley and Toni have a serious sense of fashion. Toni chose a sharp blue Vivienne Westwood suit with striking powder blue shoes. Lesley wore an extremely elegant Joanne Fleming dress of soft silk duchess satin with a ruffled boat-neck.
This was a celebration and a meeting of Swedish and English traditions; a coming together of friends and family, speaking different languages, but with one clear message – their love for Lesley and Toni. The old English mansion was decorated with sunflowers and cornflowers, perhaps a nod to the blue and yellow of the Swedish flag.
The sunflowers certainly had ample sunbeams to follow, and the light made the colours glow. Their wedding cake was a tower of cupcakes with Swedish and English flags, all topped with a sugar aeroplane in sugar clouds.
Lesley and Toni both work in the travel industry and love to explore new cultures. It’s easy to see they are interested in others, watching them with their friends and family, you see how they listen intently, take care, and value their loved ones the way we all should – we felt inspired by Toni and Lesley.
This wedding was a real treat and one we will hold close to our hearts.
