Kate & Ed showed me around their old haunts on their Bath engagement shoot, telling me stories of when they first met and started going out. They were taking dancing lessons at that time, so naturally they chose to name their wedding breakfast tables after Ballroom and Latin dances.
Their day was classic and like those table names, personal to their story. There was an element of pearls and sparkle that accented the details, adding to the elegance. Mary Jane Vaughan created a palette of soft greens and pale creams for the floral displays and bouquets, the textures of which set off the lace detail in Kate’s stunning Maggie Sottero dress and veil.
They married at a beautiful ceremony at All Saints’ Church, Warlingham, before taking their wedding party to Nonsuch Mansion in Cheam for their reception celebrations. The style of Nonsuch Mansion was perfect for Kate and Ed. The vintage elegance of the grand Orchid and Rose rooms, set off by the wild parkland that the mansion nestles in was just the right balance.
Kate & Ed are wonderfully matched and a lot of fun to be with. The laughter and the conversation of their nearest and dearest made for the perfect backdrop to their union. Sunset over wild grass, and the day was complete.
Kate & Ed, hope you had the most incredible honeymoon in South East Asia (one of my very favourite parts of the world), and we hope these bring back those moments of laughter and of stillness, and of the wonderfulness that was your day.
