Reverie in white {Charlotte & Ollie}

Babington House, Somerset

This was a day epitomised by its elegance, soft beauty, and friends and family outpouring love for a couple who are made for one another. Charlotte and Ollie’s day was very much about celebrating with those they hold dear, in a relaxed and stunningly beautiful Babington House wedding.

Charlotte chose a dreamy Lynn Ashford dress with soft lines and elegant simplicity. Her Kate Spade shoes were full of sparkles, and when paired with the dress, just a little touch of fairytale. For the ceremony, she wore a full veil and bespoke head band from Tantrums & Tiaras, changing to a glamorous sparkly belt and head band from Bridal Haven in Tarporley for the party.  The bridesmaids white dresses were some of my favourite. Reminiscent of classic ballet, these Amanda Wyatt dresses fitted perfectly with the Maid of Honour’s floor length white gown. Each also wore a bespoke headband made by Tantrums & Tiaras.

Flowers by Passion used the palest of greens, pinks, warm whites in the most elegant of floral displays. The breath taking bouquets captured the delicate balance between wild and romantic. Rose petals edged the chapel aisle and rested gently on the wide stone window ledges. The centre of the long reception tables held bottles of tall flowers arranged as if each table held a little slice of meadow.

The soundtrack to the day was superb. During the champagne reception, Miss Cherry Bomb serenaded the guests with Hollywood classics and popular show tunes, so beautifully sung many could not believe it was live. Blue Harlem, widely regarded as one of the best swing and jump blue bands in London, usually frequenting the likes of Ronnie Scott’s, got the evening started with Charlotte and Ollie’s first dance – one of the most fun we have seen! This truly excellent band played well into the night when DJ Nigel, a Babington favourite, took the helm to steer the party into the small hours.

This was a wedding as every should be. Poignant, fun, thoughtful of those the couple love most, and very much about who they are. This was a celebration of Charlotte and Ollie, and with a beginning like this, they will have the most beautiful of futures.
