Lucky {Elizabeth & Adam}

Elizabeth and Adam are one of those couples who are effortlessly stylish. I fell in love with them when I met them at their flat for their Portobello Market engagement shoot, but then they did feed me some of the best cake in the world. I learnt quickly that they appreciate the details in life, from the trinkets on the market stall tables to the care and attention they pay one another. It only follows that their Babington House wedding would be elegant, romantic and perfectly arranged.

Babington House in Somerset seemed a perfect match to them; a tranquil, elegant setting with such kind and thoughtful staff. Everything about their wedding was beautifully personal, like the planters, made by Elizabeth’s father to stand proudly either side of the chapel door – that beautiful chapel dating back to 1750, filled with candles and stunning florals from Passion. And the favours. Elizabeth’s family make horseshoes, so naturally the wedding favours were beautiful handmade miniature horseshoes to bring luck to each one of their guests.

And, Oh! They were breathtaking. Elizabeth in her sweeping bead capped Reem Acra gown, hand made veil and Jimmy Choo’s, Adam in his black suit and Hermes Bow Tie. When the rain cleared and gave us a few precious minutes when the sun was setting, I though my heart might burst. I get terribly excited about light. And love. Those moments remind me of what is beautiful, and seeing two people made for each other as Elizabeth and Adam so clearly are, was breathtaking.

Liz & Adam, I hope you are having the most wonderful honeymoon. I hope these images remind you of all the moments in between, all the love and all the joy of your day. I would wish you all the very best of luck for your future together, but somehow I don’t think you need it.
