The beach stretched out in front of us as the tide retreated, leaving seaweed and seashells to make patterns across the sand. This was the breathtaking backdrop for Dan and Chrisine’s Bamburgh beach engagement shoot.
Before they knew each other, Dan and Chris both came here, Chris as a child, and Dan when he was studying. Now it has become the place they come together to retreat and rejuvenate. I can see why. You feel so alive out here, picking your way amongst the rocks and pools, waves playing between the outcrops and ocean as far as you can see.
The beach is watched over by Bamburgh Castle, standing proudly against the sky. We walked under its shadow and out onto the sand, talking of the beauty of the old stone houses that make up the sleepy village of Bamburgh, of reading in rocking chairs, and of their plans and dreams for the year ahead. It was such a special morning for me, to spend with like minds, in a life giving space. Thank you Dan & Chris for sharing this time with me. And for the cream tea. It doesn’t get much better.
