It was a nippy morning, the kind where the sky is painted in layers of complex silver and lilac. The river ran through Hammersmith like molten lead, the flow broken only by the gulls skimming the surface. I ducked into the warmth and cosiness of The Dove to meet Georgia & Chris. Over coffee, we caught up on the finer details of their plans. It is always the greatest complement when a couple choose to book me after they have seen me work, as Georgia and Chris did after their friends’ Ellie & Andrew’s wedding last summer.
They love this part of town, the Georgian houses with their great windows keeping watch over the river. We walked along the bank, secretly dreaming of the day one of those grand houses with it’s tiny private landing gardens was ours. The magnolias in full bloom, several months early, made for a very pretty scene.
I thoroughly enjoyed the company of these two. So warm hearted, so interested and full of stories and conversation, I know that their wedding will be both romantic and one great party.
